Our church in Heidelberg is growing. Not by leaps and bounds, but steadily. We are receiving new members, and new covenant children are being born. Our small sanctuary is maxed out and we don’t have nearly enough space for all the areas of Lord’s day ministry. This is making a move to bigger facilities necessary. There is a space we are currently looking at. Please pray that the landlords would be inclined to give it to us and that the Lord would leads us in wisdom. [see website].
Our church in Hannover is still quite small. We have a core group of young families and singles, and have been able to welcome a number of visitors over the past few months. We are encouraged by what the Lord is doing in our midst and to see the many ways even our small congregation has been used by our good God to bless others and to bring glory to his name. RTS Seminary (Heidelberg)
There are exciting developments with our Reformed seminary (RTS). We are currently in a growth process, which means we are enlarging the board as well as setting up an international advisory board. We have also found an excellent potential addition to our faculty, a German theologian who recently completed his PhD, who would work alongside of Dr. Victor d’Assonville and in administration. Finally, we are on the brink of serving a much larger constituency as we have been approached to help Central and Eastern European churches train their future pastors. [see website].
Reformatorisch-Theologische Zeitschrift (RThZ)
The seminary has published the first edition of our theological journal (RThZ). We believe that a vigorous, confessional publishing ministry will help the Reformed faith to be replanted in Germany. [see website].
